Biographical / Historical
The Harare Working Group was formed by the British participants at the international conference 'Children, Repression, and the Law in Apartheid South Africa' held in Harare in September 1987 (for which see Bishop Ambrose Reeves Trust archive, MSS. Afr. s. 2348). The Group, convened by SATIS, aimed to co-ordinate campaigning work in Britain on the issue of children under apartheid. In 1988 the Group became the SATIS Committee on Children.
