'Pensions payable out of the Exchequer or rather Augmentation Office to the late Incumbents of Religious Houses & Chauntries A° 1553 ...', a title by Browne Willis to a copy of an original Latin record relating to England and Wales and the Isle of Man.
Preceding this (on fols. 2-29) is a copy of a MS. belonging to 'Le Neve' entitled 'Compendium Compertorum per Doctorem [Ric.] Layton & Doctorem [Tho.] Legh in visitatione regia Provinciæ Eboracensis & Episcopatus Coventriæ & Lichfeldiæ cum aliis, temp. Regis Hen. 8' (1536), with an index of monasteries, and some notes.
Most of the volume is in the hand of a scribe, probably W. Slyford, but fols. 2v, 27-29 ('B.Ws 1717'), and some other parts of pages are in Browne Willis's own hand.
132 leaves foliated up to '143'.
