Three sets of collections by the rev. John Watson (d. 1783)
- (fol. 2) 'Collections relating to Lancashire made by me I: Watson, M.A. & F.S.A., 1762', consisting of a copy of part of 'A topographical description of the parish of Warton [near Lancaster] and some parts adjacent ... wrote by Mr. John Lucas ...' in 1710-44 (fol. 3), with an index, and some Lancashire pedigrees in narrative form, copied in 1771-8 (fol. 27v). At fol. 44 is a coloured drawing of the Sandpit in the parish of Ordsall.
- (fol. 49) 'Roman, British, Saxon, and other Remains in. Great Britain and Ireland, 1759', chiefly excerpts from the Gentleman's Magazine. At fol. 49v is an etching of the rev. John Watson.
- (fol. 71) Several lists of arms borne by English families, in alphabetical order of names, but partly divided according to the tincture of the field and by the county.
