Extracts, notes and correspondence chiefly relating to English history and archcæology, quite miscellaneous in character and incapable of summary treatment; but each volume has a list of contents prefixed. There are also many original papers, among which are:

  1. papers about Dover (p. 19);
  2. classical papers, such as a collation of Ammonius Πϵρί όμοίων καί δiαϕόρων λέξϵων in a MS. in the parish library at Crundale in Kent (p. 419);
  3. letters and notes from Dr. John Taylor, 1752 (d. 1766: p. 439);
  4. letters and notes from Beaupré Bell, 1729 (p. 457);
  5. papers about Godmersham (p. 625);
  6. notes on Xenophon's Anabasis i. (p. 701).
