Lettice Tichborne's music book, Date not recorded at time of cataloguing
Music book in which apparently a French teacher Dubuisson, living 'dans la rue du Bussy, vis a vis Le Chevalle Dore chez Mr. de la Valle Guantier... ', wrote songs by himself and others for his pupil on fol. 1-7. A childish English(?) hand added French songs on fols. 7v-9. Another practised hand wrote French songs on fols. 9v-25, interrupted by a second pupil who copied a Magnificat and 'O salutaris hostia' on fols. 13v-14v. At the other end of the book a rough English hand began to write songs, including Purcell's 'Hail to the myrtle shade' [Z. 606/8] (fol. 51 rev.); another copied treble airs, fols. 44v-48; and another a song, fols. 44-42 rev.
