'Old Oxford', an extensive collection of notes and extracts chiefly from printed sources relating to the history, topography and old buildings of the city of Oxford, the whole compiled by Mr. Herbert Hurst. To each volume is prefixed an index to its contents and a list of the principal items contained in it, MS. Top. Oxon c. 183-186 being reckoned as one volume: MS. Top. Oxon c. 191 is a general index to the whole. The longer articles in each volume are here given:
- Extracts from Ingram's Memorials of Oxford and similar works, scraps and newspaper cuttings
- Also notes by the writer of archaeological discoveries made in Oxford in 1894-5 (fol. 1606; cf. fol. 1493)
