'A List of her Majesties Royall Navy, 1705': details of the crew, armament, size and building of about 280 ships in seventeen classes, with an estimate of their cost (fol. 26v). The oldest ship was the Ruby, a fourth-rate vessel, built in 1651 at Deptford.
