Dutch devotional treatises:

1. Fol. 1v. An extract on patience: 'Van des edelre doghet des lijdsamheit. Sinte Bernaert seit ic achte meer die doghet des verduldighen menschen dan die teyken der heilighen.'

2. Fol. 4. The Lord's Prayer, in Dutch verse, 18 lines, beg. 'Vader onse die bes alleene'. Printed in R. Priebsch, Deutsche Hss. in England (1896), i. 163.

3. Fol. 5. Incomplete translation of books i and ii of the Imitatio Christi of Thomas à Kempis, with table of chapters. The first book is described as a translation from Latin into Dutch by a canon of Eemsteyn near Dortrecht, the second as the testament of brother Godevaest of Brill, canon of the same; rubr. 'Hier beghinnen goede vermaninghe tot een gheestelic leuen seer not ... van dien dat men Cristum navolghen sal ende alle des werelt ydelheit versmaden' (fol. 6), beg. 'Die mi volghet en wandert met in dusternisse'; colophon: 'Dit boec heeft ghemaect een regulier van onser orden ende capittel in Latijn ende is ouergheset vten Latijn in duutsche tot Eemsteyn, int cloester van enen broeder ... int jaer ons heren MCCCC xxviii' (fol. 47v). There are lacunae at fol. 37 (end of chap. 20 and beginning of chap. 21), fols. 40-1 (middle of chap. 22 to middle of chap. 24).

The second book is headed 'Dese twee sermoenen heeft ghemaect sinte Barnaert op die hochtijt vandes kermisse' (fol. 48), with the further rubric 'Dit is broeder Godevaests van dem Briele convuentuael in cloester tot Eemsteyn sijn testament' (fol. 59v), followed by eleven chapters, beg. 'Onse heer spreect'. The 12th chapter of the 2nd book is here treated as a separate work with the heading 'Van den conincliken wech des heilighen cruce ende hoe wi ons selfs cruce sallen draghen dat capittel', beg. 'Het dunct veel menschen' (fol. 81v).

4. Fol. 87v. 'Dit leste boec is hier altemael van woerde te woerde als ict in dem Latyn vant van der lytsamheit', a discourse on patience, beg. 'Onse lieue Here sprac int ewangeli'.

5. Fol. 91v. Five miscellaneous sermons followed by religious commonplaces (fol. 112).

6. Fol. 113v. 'Exempel van drie Paternosteren in der vren van der doot', beg. 'Het was een paens doe hi sternen sonde'.

7. Fol. 115v. 'Dit is den gulden Rink', beg. 'Op een tyt als een joncfrou in haer ghebet', imperfect at end, 'ende worde verdenen Ijst dat di ...'.

Leaves have been cut out at fols. 40, 124, 126.
