'A Vindication of those who take the Oath of Allegiance to his present Majestie. In a letter to a Non-Juror', Written in 1700 by T. Hearne
'A Vindication of those who take the Oath of Allegiance to his present Majestie. In a letter to a Non-Juror:' signed at end 'Tho: Hearne, ... Junij 11o 1700.' The publication of this in 1731 caused the author intense annoyance, he being by that time a Nonjuror. He had vainly endeavoured to obtain its restitution when it first arrived at the Bodleian.
