Petrarch, Trionfi , written in the 15th century
'Francisci Petrarce Florentini poete laureati Triumph[i] ...' Each part has an elaborate capital letter, and several pages bear finely drawn and coloured figures in various attitudes: on fol. 1v nine sages in a cave (see facsimile on pl. ix of the Sale Catalogue); on fol. 2r Petrarch and Laura.
