Collection of three MSS.:
A. Fol. 1. 'Q. Whether may a Man marrie the Sister of his deceased wife?': beg. 'That a Christian is not onely to consider :' endorsed 'Mr. Ironside', and the 1697 Catalogue attributes the piece to 'Mr. Ir.', i.e. perhaps Gilbert Ironside, Warden of Wadham.
B. Fol. 6. 'A declaracion of the true groundes of the prohibicion to the High Commissioners, and the authority and reason approving the same ...', on the jurisdiction of the High Commission, apparently composed and transcribed early in the 17th century
C:
- Fol. 17. 'Contingent Profits a[ccruing to the g?]ouerment of Scilly not valu ... lar', imperfect
- Fol. 17v. Six humorous poems in English, Greek, Latin and French: beg. 'A taboure & a shepherds reed', (preceded by the name 'Iohn Medow', )' 'Απ' 'οβέρωνος δαιμόνων', [a translation of 'From Oberon in fairy-land', E.W.B.N.], 'Hortus deliciæ domus politæ [about Merton college garden, E.W.B.N.]', 'Pour qui gardez tu les yeux', or 'Phillis tandis que tu vis', 'No sooner old Bel', (about an expected contest for a bedell's place [?] at Oxford), 'A silly John surprizd with ioy.'
