Literary notebooks of E. W. B. Nicholson. Relates mainly to John Gower and contains at fol. 3 an abstract of the Confessio Amantis to 1. 424 of the prologue: at fols. 8, 11v, are Latin and Greek versions of Shakespeare's story of the caskets. The volume has then been reversed and used for entering statistics as to the proportion of dactylic lines in Homer.
