Extracts, many of them very short, chiefly from Cottonian MSS., among which the following are worthy of mention:

  6. P. 117. copies of five Carolingian charters to St. Martin's, Utrecht, followed (p. 118) by excerpts from Regino's chronicle, as printed in Mon. Germ. Hist. i. 547, and the chronicle of an anonymous monk of Utrecht, from the same MS. (p. 128)
  7. P. 142. a brief note apparently from Cott. MS. Vitell. D. x, the chronicle of Thomas Sprott, now missing, followed by longer excerpts from well known MSS. as Ildebert's epistles (p. 143), Henry Knighton's chronicle, probably from Cott. MS. Claud. E. iii (p. 155), Fleta in Cott. MS. Jul. B. viii (p. 160), and the Vita Ricardi Secundi in Cott. MS. Claud. B. ix (p. 183)
