Henry Savile's Latin version of the Almagest of Ptolemy, with the commentary of Theon of Alexandria and Nicholas Cabasilas, read by him on taking his M.A. degree on May 30, 1570, here dated Oct. 27-Nov. 11, 1568. beg. 'Praeclarè mihi videntur' (fol. 3):

  1. MS. Savile 26: volume 1, 91 leaves
  2. MS. Savile 27: volume 2, on the outer front cover 'For the mathemicall study belonging to Sr H. Savile's Professor in Oxford', 90 leaves
  3. MS. Savile 28: volum 3, at fol. 29 there follows a rough list of mathematical authors, alphabetically arranged, 56 leaves
