A volume made up of various MSS. containing astronomical and other treatises:

  1. Fol. 1 Σεξτου̑ 'Εμπειρικου̑ Πυρρωνείων ὐποτυπώσεων ᾱ, β̄, γ̄ (cod. S in Mutschmann's list, Rhein. Mus. 64 (1909), 248).
  2. Fol. 199 Περι' στρατηγικω̑ν ὀνομάτων τε και' τάξεων άδέσποτον, really Aelian, τακτικη' θεωρία, defective, followed (fol. 230v) by a diagram with a paragraph of explanation from some Byzantine writer.
  3. Fol. 233 In the hand of John Nathanael: Νικηϕόρου ... του̑ Γρήγορα̑ έξήγησις ει'ς το'ν του̑ περι' ένυττνίων Συνεσίου λόγον,, omitting the preface and incomplete at the end.
  4. Fol. 262 Excerpts from Origen's Philocalia, viz. bk. ii, chh. 21, 25, 27 (mentioned in J. A. Robinson's ed., p. xxv).
  5. Fol. 290 In the same hand as MS. Savile 10, art. Κλαυδίου Πτολεμαίου ϕάσεις α'πλανω̑ν α'στέρων και' συναγωγη' ε'πισημασίων (cod. C. in Heiberg's list, Cl. Ptolemaei opera, II, p. iv).
  6. Fol. 333 ' Iωάννου του̑ Φιλοπόνου ε'ξήγησις ει'ς τὴν ει'σαγωγήν Νικομάχου αριθμητικη'ς ... (This MS. was not used by Hoche.)
  7. Fol. 430v In the hand of Sir H. Savile: Κλαυδίου Πτολεμαίου σαϕήνεια και' διάταξις τω̑ν προχείρων κανόνων as far as the words σελήνης ψηϕοϕορία γραμματικω̑ς (Heiberg, Teubner ed., ii. 165).

(fols. 433v-48) are blank.

Custodial History

Fol. 430v was bequeathed to the Bodleian by Dr Peter Turner, who died in Jan. 1650/51, and was claimed in 1655 for the Savilian library.
