Copies and facsimiles of 11th- to 16th-cent. charters, with sketches of seals, without arrangement, and for the provenance of which see no. 6503. There are charters of the empress Matilda on p. 54 and of Henry ii on pp. 54, 85, William i on p. 117, and many others of the 12th cent. There are indexes of persons and places at p. 132.

There is an index virorum by Dugdale on p. 132.
