Shelfmark
MS. Wood F. 48
Arrangement
Wood was accustomed to mark these notes in red ink with 'A. 1', 'A. 2', etc., then 'B. 1', 'B. 2', etc., and so through at least two alphabets (A-Z, Aa-Zz). FFF is also found, and other symbols, which may be seen in Clark's edition of The Life and Times of A. Wood, iv. 232-5. Each letter represented a bundle on Wood's shelves, and about half the papers are here, arranged according to the marks above described, the volumes containing A-Z; Aa-Ii; Kk-Ss, FFF; and unmarked, respectively.
