Letters almost entirely written to Anthony Wood, 1657-95, chiefly on the biography of Oxford writers, some with draughts of the replies. In the following list some entries have been for convenience inserted from MSS. Wood F. 46-51, Ashm. Mus. c. 1, the whole series forming the bulk of the papers on which Wood's Atheme Oxonienses is based. They do not however satisfactorily allow of summary treatment.

The chief writers are:
  1. Getsius, Walter (3), 1693-4 (fol. 18).
  2. Gibbesius or Ghibbesius, Jacobus Albanus (2), 1673 (fol. 24: MS. Wood F. 46, fol. 98).
  3. Goodall, Charles (6), 1693-5 (fol. 48).
  4. Gore, Thomas (23), 1668-81 (fol. 61: MS. Wood F. 49, fol. 23).
  5. Guidott, Thomas (4), 1676-91 (fols. 116, 122).
  6. Healy, Richard (6), 1685-6 (fol. 149: MS. Wood F. 44, fol. 3).
  7. Henshaw, Thomas (5), 1689-93 (fol. 174: MS. Wood F. 49, fol. 1).
  8. Hevlyn, Henry (4), 1673 (fol. 184).
  9. Hickes, George (4), 1682-92 (fol. 192).
  10. Hopkins, William (18), 1687-92 (fol. 218).
  11. Hutton, Matthew (3), 1660-91 (fol. 262).
  12. Jenkins, sir Leoline (4), 1670-2 (fols. 298, 310).
  13. Johnston, Nathaniel (2), 1688 (fol. 320).

  15. Kennett, bp. White (10), 1681-8 (fols. 328, 350).
  16. King, Josiah (5), 1694-5 (fol. 365). Lamplugh, bp. Thomas (1), Aug. 22, 1687 (MS. Wood F. 43, fol. 4).
