'A Register of marriages, christnings, and burials, in St. John Baptists parish in Oxford, collected and continued by me Anth. à Wood a Native of the said parish, for mine owne proper use & occasions': this is a copy, with additions, of a register made by Wood for Merton College in 1662-85, and written by him on parchment (now no. 11747). This interesting volume contains:
- Fol. 2. an itinerary of the whole parish with names of all its inhabitants in 1662
- Fol. 4v. 'The ichnography of Merton College Church'
- Fol. 5. Marriages, 1644-85
- Fol. 17v. Burials in Oriel College, 1652-80
- Fol. 23. Christenings, 1620-84
- Fol. 52. Burials, 1617-85
The parchment register differs in various points from this copy, and has entries as late as 1686.
