Fragment of a work by William Wyrley, Written about 1595 by William Wyrley
Fragment of a work by William Wyrley (d. 1618) entitled 'Fundationes diversorum religiosorum'. The surviving portion consists of a calendar of some of the deeds in the chartularies of Oseney abbey and St. Frideswide's priory now at Christ Church.
On fol. iii. are two shields of arms:
- Argent, three buglehorns for Wyrley of Stafford
- Argent, a cross engrailed, a quarter ermine charged with a fesse argent counter-compony
