An account by Wood, chronologically arranged, of the nobility and gentry buried in or near Oxford, 1643-86, with notes to 1694, often referred to by Wood as his 'Liber obitalis', including biographical material, coloured sketches of arms, and the place of burial. A table, not by Wood, of names in the order in which they occur, is on p. 3, and an alphabetical list is printed in Huddesford's catalogue.
