  4. ASJ II/79. 'Fantasia on a suitable theme for birthdays and similar occasions'. Complete copy in ink and photocopy, [1974]; incomplete computer copy, n.d. Also present are: 2-piano version in ink, [1975] and 2 early computer copies of reworked shorter solo 'Birthday fantasia (for Asa Briggs)'.   5. ASJ II/82. Four Northumbrian tunes arranged for piano: 'The Hexhamshire lass', 'Sweet Hesleyside', 'Bonny at morn' and 'Elsie Marley'. 2 different copies of the set and 2 copies of 'Sweet Hesleyside', all in ink [1975].   6. ASJ II/84 (RSJ 34). 'Elegy for David Barlow'. Copy in ink (with corrections) with the composer's typewritten note, [1975].
  7. AJS II/88 (RSJ 38). Sonata no. 3. Copy in ink with corrections and photocopy of the same manuscript, with typed performing instruction, the latter dated 1976.
