Treble Cantoris part-book of Anthems (front) and Services (back, volumes reversed), mid-18th cent - mid-19th cent.
This manuscript is in the binding which should belong to MS. Mus. d.150, being marked and belonging to the same set, '3'.
Together with MS. Mus. d. 149, the Anthems (front) and Services (back, volumes reversed) were copied mid-18th cent. and repaired by P. Hayes and later hands up to mid-19th cent. In addition to music found in the folio part-books MSS. Mus. c. 46-47 and c. 50, the two parts contain, or formerly contained works by Charles King (Communion in F), Blow ('I beheld and lo'), Clark ('I will love'), Croft ('Blessed are they'), Green (eight anthems), J. Kent (two anthems), H. Purcell ('Behold I bring'), B. Rogers, (six anthems) Type ('I will exalt') Walond ('Not unto us') and Weldon ('I will lift').
