Treble Cantoris Service book, in use from about 1740-19th cent., 17th cent.-19th cent.
There is agreement with the Treble Decani volume (MS. Mus. c. 46) for the most part in content, but the order differs. Most of the music is found also in the earlier books, and comprises Services by Aldrich, John Awbery (Commandments), Batten, John Bishop, Blow, Byrd, Child, Croft, R. Farrant, Gibbons, Hall with Hine (in E flat), Charles Jones, Patrick, Priest, Rogers, Tallis and Wise.
Services not found in the earlier sets are by Alcock, Croft (in A), R. Goodson, W. Hayes, Kelway, Charles King, Richard Shenton and Tudway. Copied by Morgan Cove and several other 18th-cent. hands. Added leaves include music copied by P. Hayes and others. MS. Mus. c. 46 is indexed by the same 19th-cent. hand as MS. Mus. c. 50.
