MS. Dodsworth 42, 1642-1643, 164 leaves: Extracts by Dodsworth from the MS. collections of sir Simonds D'Ewes, now among the Harleian MSS. in the British Museum, viz.:
- Fol. 1. Harl. MS. 294, artt. 1 (fol. 1: pedigrees from inquisitions post mortem), 2-4, 7, 10 (fol. 73: notes from plea-rolls of Edw. i), 11, 39-41, 44-8 (fol. 66v: Bury St. Edmunds registers), 57, 58. fols. 17-24 are misplaced after fol. 32
- Fol. 81. 'Liber placitorum domini Simondes Dewes', containing extracts from the Curia Regis rolls and some assize rolls of Henry iii
Each volume is preceded by an index of personal names, by Dodsworth and by Thomas lord Brudenell, respectively.

- Fol. 1. select inquisitions post mortem listed in Hunter's Three Catalogues, including (fols. 36-74) several of members of the Neville family: fols. 32-60 are transcribed from Cotton MS. Julius B xii

MS. Dodsworth 43: The MS. was formerly fols. 50-3, 58-65, 76-89, 107-8, 114-57, 169-71, 177-267 of a larger volume, and contains at fol. ii an index nominum made before its mutilation. It is partly (fols. 1-12, 134v-47, etc.) in Dodsworth's hand.
