The Statutes of England passed from 1 Edw. 3 to 23 Hen. 6 (1327/8-1445), written in about the middle of the 15th cent. in England
Preceded by a very full table of subjects, arranged alphabetically, and followed on fol. 170 by some 'Expositions of wordes', i.e. of old English legal terms, in English. On fols. 1v-2v are some lists of books in a house in London (16th cent.).
'Sr John Francklin. Dorothea Francklin': he was knighted in A.D. 1614, and the binding bears his arms.
