Two parchment leaves bearing two fragments of an English metrical translation of the romance of Apollonius king of Tyre containing together about 140 lines, written in the 15th cent.
The first piece ends '[Str]angulion my doubter ytok . & deuyse that hys hys wyf': the second ends 'The blysse of heuene dwelle. amen por charite. [Ex]plicit Appollonius Tyrus rex nobilis & virtuosus' etc. The whole fragment is printed in J. O. Halliwell's New Boke about Shakespeare (Lond., for private circulation, 1850), p. 2. At fol. 15 is a letter from S. W. Singer sending the fragments to Douce, Jan. 7, 1830. Fols. 1-14, 19-end are blank paper.
