A treatise of German military organization, written in the 16th cent.
Beg. 'In dem namen Gotz Vatters Suns vnnd des Hayligen Gayst ... Zu lob eren ynnd wolfart der gantzen Cristenhayt vnd sunderlich teutsche land': there are illustrations of types of men ('Turckh', fol. 2V: 'Heroldt', fob 30v: 'Veldzeugmayster', fol. 44v: 'Oberster haubtman der fueszknecht', fol. 75v, cf. foll 24 - 27). On fol. 1v are the arms, party per pale, on the dexter side bendy sinister of six argent and gules, on the sinister side or an imperial eagle displayed sable dimidiated, for the German Empire: see also fol. 83.
