Ovid Metamorphoses book 1, written in the first half of the 16th cent. in France
At end:--'Fin du premiere liure des Transformations Douide', a translation into French verse of the first book of the Metamorphoses: by Clément Marot (d. 1544), whose dedicatory epistle to Francis I is prefixed.
This is no doubt the presentation copy to the king, and contains twelve large miniatures illustrating the poem.
