A fragment of a work resembling the Golden Legend, in French, containing part of the Lives of Adam and Eve, written early in the 14th cent.
Also includes (fol. 9v) an account of the Passion of Christ and especially of the history of the Cross, perhaps unconnected with the former piece. The fragment beg. 'Charivy par mon orgoil, & auoyt tut purveu', ends 'seint Pere reneya nostre Seignor.'.
Prefixed on fols. 2-3 are four fine full-page miniatures depicting scenes in the Life of the Virgin, not later than the writing, but not connected with it: and there are some illuminated capitals.
