English translation of 'the Golden Letany off the Lyeff & Passion of Cryste', written in the 15th cent.
'Here begynneth the Golden Letany off the Lyeff & Passion of Cryste ...', as revealed to St. 'Mawdlen', with her vision prefixed, translated out of Latin presumably by I. S. ('quod I. S.' on fol. 45): a prayer in English follows the litany. The Vision beg. 'Ther was an holy woman namyd Mawdlen.'.
The name of 'Wiliam Edgson' is on fol. 42v (17th cent.).
