Prefixed are three leaves of a 16th cent. book of English devotions, one bearing a full-page miniature of the Crucifixion (fol. viiv).

Fols. 41-43 are injured at a corner.

At fol. 72 is a request that the book which 'was maad of the goodis of a certeyne persone for a comyn profite' should be handed down from one owner to another 'as longe as the booke endurith.'.

'Frater Willelmus Pellrimper [?] [? 'Pellj' = Pelly, and 'nuper.' E.W.B.N.] de Swineshead. Frater [?] Pane Ar[miger ?] [? dr' E.W.B.N.] vic' Com pred' Staff' [??]' (16th cent.: at fol. 8): the book plate of 'J. Brand AM, FSA Coll. Linc. Oxon' (about A.D. 1780) is in the volume.
