There are many notes and emendations in Latin, of the first half of the 18th cent., some of which are explained by the following note:--'Jacobus Philippus D'Orville contuli hunc codicem ad manuscriptum librum olim Heidelbergae conservatum, et inde Salmasio et aliis Palatinym dictum, nunc in bibliotheca Vaticana depositum quo misus fuit ab Maximiliano duce Bavariae. Usus quoque fui Holstenii codice, quem a Salmasiono [sic] descriptum ad autographum contulerat...' D'Orville seems to have collated the Palatine MS. at Rome in Dec, 1727.
