Latin poetry extracts, written early in the 16th cent. in Italy
Comprises:
- (fol. 1) '...Tibullus poeta clarus', the Elegies, from i. 34, a leaf being lost at the beginning: the epitaph and short life follow
- (fol. 52v) '... Nonnulla [P. Ovidii] Nasonis de sine titulo', extracts from the Amores, etc.
- (fol. 60) 'Priapeia [P. Vergilii] Maronis', of uncertain author ship: followed at fol. 75 by a similar poem beg. 'Photis noster amor') and at fol. 78 by four Latin epitaphs, three connected with Atimetus and Homonoea 'in templo Sancti Michaelis Romae': one 'in Sancto Maiore Maria' at Rome (?), beg. 'Ingratae Veneri.'
- (fol. 78v) 'Martialis', 50 epigrams, followed by three Latin facetiae in verse beg. 'Qui fungi', 'Arbore sub quadam', 'Hic patule'
- (fol. 90) ' (Antonii Panormitae) Hermafroditi liber primus' et alter, poematum
- (fol. 120v) 'Porcelius vates Romanus ...', some Latin poems by Petrus Porcelius
- (fol. 139) 'Ioviani Pontani libellus amorum cui titulus est Parthonopeus ...'; some leaves are wanting after fol. 150, which ends 'nemorum deserta colebas.'
On fol. iiv are eight Italian verses by Petrarch: beg. 'Rota e lalta colona el verde lauro.'.
'Est Dionysij Aelij a Lancino Curtio suo' (early 16th cent. ?).
