Yorkshire collections made by Thomas Beckwith, of York, in about 1755-90, all bearing his armorial bookplate (see MS. Gough Yorkshire 23). 'A collection for a history of Yorkshire ... by Thos Beckwith ...', a miscellaneous, unarranged but extensive compilation of copies of records, manor and church notes, and the like. Vol. 1, 1756, containing an historical and geographical account of the county, etc. Volume contains an index.
