Collections for the county of Kent by Edward Steele, Written in about 1712-1753 by E. Steele
Collections for the county of Kent by Edward Steele. These are of considerable extent, and include church and parish notes, lists of incumbents, remarkable incidents, etc., chiefly of the 17th and first half of the 18th century: but unfortunately the order of parishes as now bound is haphazard, and there is no proper index (see fols. 239, 253).
There is a list of Steele's own books relating to the county at fol. 254: and a few original documents are interspersed.
