'An Answer to Sir Thomas Manwaring's Admonition to the reader of Sir Peter Leicester's Bookes, written by Sir Peter Leicester, in ... 1676. The originall manuscript.' This is part of the long dispute about the legitimacy of Amicia, daughter of Hugh Cyvelioc, earl of Chester (12th century).

From fol. 16 it would appear that this is a copy, by the author, of the original MS., given to a friend (possibly 'B.H.') by sir Francis Leicester in 1739. The printed edition bears the date 1677.
