'Antiquitys concerning Cheshire: collected from authentick records: with an abstract of their contents; according to the commands of the lord Malpas: by his lordship's humble servant Randal Minshull.' The list of contents is a detailed account of 95 documents, relating to all parts of the county, transcribed in the body of the work.
Pp. 3-242 are the original volume, written in 1591 by 'Your Vncull in Lawe Tho: Stanley', some additions were made in 1595 and later, and finally Randal Minshull wrote two titles and a second list of contents in about 1730.
