Collections made by James Bowen, a painter and undertaker of Shrewsbury (d. 1774: his printed trade-card is in Gough Shropshire 2, p. 744; 18, p. 41) and his son John, for a history of Shropshire and especially Shrewsbury: Pedigrees of Shropshire families, roughly in alphabetical order, with many coats of arms in trick, and a list of names by Gough.
