Oxfam has produced an internal newsletter featuring humanitarian emergencies since the 1960s. Initially produced by the Information Department regarding specific emergencies, it later contained news about emergency situations - actual and potential - around the world, as well as Oxfam's response. From about 1990 to Mar 1993, the newsletter was produced by the Emergencies Unit and the Information Department. Between Sep 1993 and Jan 1996 it was produced by the Resources Unit. From Feb 1996 it was produced by the Emergencies Department. It had various titles over the years, including 'Emergencies Sitrep', 'Emergencies Update', 'Monthly Emergencies Report', and 'Emergencies Bulletin'.

'Humanitarian News' was issued by the Humanitarian Department from May 2006.
