Custodial History

Manuscripts presented to F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy by the composers. Given in 1961 by Mary Gilbert, grand-daughter of F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy's son Paul, to Margaret Deneke. Bequeathed by Helena Deneke, 1973.

Physical Facet

Leaves in quires of fours; the quires were numbered 1-11 in lower right hand corner after the first two; there is an additional bifolium at the end. 'Paul M. B.' inside front cover.
