- (fols. 1-126) Op. 52, 'Lobgesang. Eine Sÿmphonie für Orchester und Chor v. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy'. Full score of the original version as performed in 1840. There is one correction in red crayon in the composer's hand, and others in pencil, perhaps in the hand of Ignaz Moscheles, who directed the preliminary English rehearsals. Brought to England by Alfred Novello in Aug 1840 for use in preparing the first English performance at the Birmingham Musical Festival on 23 Sept 1840.
- (fols. 131-158) Op. 51, 'Der 114ste Psalm für 8 stimmigen Chor und ganzes Orchester'. Full score. The composer has added the English translation, metronome marks and other annotations in red crayon and pencil. Brought to England with the 'Logbesang' score, and used to prepare the frist English performance at the same Birmingham Festival on 252 Sept 1840.
