Op. 11, Symphony no. 1 in C minor, n.d.
Copyist's full score of Mendelssohn's First symphony op. 11 in C minor. This copy includes both versions of the 3rd movt., viz. the Menuetto in C minor and the Scherzo in G minor (orchestrated from that of the Octet, op. 20, for the London performance of 25 May 1829). The volume, although originally thought by P.V.M. Benecke to be autograph, is not, but appears to correspond with vol. 24 of the manuscripts listed in the MS. Thematic Catalogue, most of whose volumes are now in Berlin and Cracow.
