Nos. 3 and 4 are part-songs from op. 41, Sechs Lieder, published by Breitkopf & Härtel, bearing printers' marks.
- (fol. 1) 'Reiselied', by Ebert. Op. 19 a no. 6, inscribed 'Von Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (Autograph) Neapel Januar 1831. Julus (sic) Benedict', [sic, but F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy was in Rome until 10 Apr 1831].

- (fol. 2) 'Mailied', by Hölty. No. 5. Bars 23-end.
- (fols. 2v-3) 'Im Walde', by Platen. No. 1. Signed and dated Leipzig, in Januar 1838.

Physical Facet
vii + 3 leaves now kept in a portfolio. Nos. 1 and 2 were written on an oblong quarto sheet; watermark incomplete, ruled with 12 staves to a page. Nos. 3 and 4 were written on an upright quarto double sheet; watermark HILD, ruled with 16 staves to a page.
