Autograph fair copy dated Zseliz, Juny 1824, and signed. Some minor alterations were made in pencil in the last movement, and the omission of one bar was indicated on p. 61. Published with dedication to Clara Wieck by Diabelli, 1838: 'D[iabelli] et C No. 6269' is on p. 1; printers' marks are in very discreet pencil throughout.

Owned by Clara Wieck, later Madame Schumann, to whom it was inscribed on p. i 'Zum freundlichen Andenken an Wien und ihre Bewohner von Ant. Diabelli'.
Physical Facet
i + 71 pages in three gatherings: 1-2(14), 3(8) (i.e. a gathering of 6 with extra leaves pasted to the 4th and 5th leaves). Original foliation was by letter, a to [kk] at bottom right corner of each opening. 10 staves to a page. Bound in boards, gilt stamped; cut by binder (e.g. pp. 20, 44).
