Thematic catalogue of vols. I-XLIV of the 'Green Books' now at Berlin, in which F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy collected his compositions, 1848
The last volumes (XLIII-XLIV) contained compositions found after the composer's death ('N[ach]l[ass]fond') and XLIII is described as belonging to Schleinitz (p. 67). Catalogued Leipzig, 1848, according to the note in Schleinitz' hand inside front cover. This is the original, from which copies were taken. Sent by F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy's son Paul to the Ministerium der geistlichen, Unterrichts- und Medicinal-Angelegenheiten, 15 Jul 1878, as evidence in the family's legal action against Schleinitz and Rietz. P.i is a letter signed by Greiff (Director, Ministerium der geistl. Unterrichts-Angelegenheiten, 2te Abt.) to Dr. Adolf Wach, 9 Mar 1881, when the catalogue was returned to the family. Annotated by various hands including those of Heinrich Conrad Schleinitz and Marie Benecke.
