The Angola Emergency Campaign was established jointly by the AAM and the Mozambique Angola Committee following the refusal of UNITA to accept the results of the United Nations sponsored elections held in September 1992. The campaign's aim was to work for action by Britain, the European Community and the international community as a whole to establish peace and democracy in Angola.
