Folder L.58. Correspondence, notice of lectures for Kendrew's course of Fred J. Robbins Lectures, Pomona College, Claremont, California 22-27 February 1968. The lectures were not published.

Included in folder is earlier correspondence 1962 inviting Kendrew to give the lectures. He was unable to accept on that occasion.

Folder L.59. Correspondence, 1968, regarding Kendrew's lecture on "Computers and biological complexity" for an IBM Course organised by Cambridge University Board of Extra-Mural Studies.

Folder L.60. Correspondence, 1967-1970, regarding Kendrew's Procter Lecture to the International Union of Leather Chemists Societies, on "Polypeptide conformation and protein structure", 8 September 1969. A summary of the lecture is enclosed, but the text was not published.

Folder L.61. Programme of events and brief correspondence regarding Cambridge Philosophical Society Sesquicentenary celebrations October-November 1969. Kendrew spoke on "Three-dimensional molecules" at the session on molecular biology at which Crick and Perutz also spoke.

Folder L.63. "Some remarks on the history of molecular biology". Kendrew's contribution to Symposium on "British Biochemistry: Past and Present" held at the 500th meeting of Biochemical Society 15-17 December 1969, and subsequently published in the Symposium Series 30, 1970.

Folder L.65. Correspondence, 1970-1971, on Kendrew's lecture on "Developments in the life sciences" given at Imperial Defence College (later Royal College of Defence Studies). Kendrew gave a similar lecture at the Police College in July 1972 and a little correspondence about that is included here.

An "overview" by Kendrew for a volume of papers commissioned by the Commission of the European Communities in connection with the Japanese proposal for an international Human Frontier Science Program. Papers were commissioned from nine experts in different fields of molecular biology, to compare the status of each field in Japan with that in Europe and the US. March 1989.
