Folder R.6. The "Parish Magazine", a series of circular letters written to former Trinity members with news of the college and university at war by A.S.F. Gow. These are letters 14-69, 29 September 1940 to 6 October 1945 and are usually 'topped and tailed' by a personal sentence or so. A version of the "Magazine" was published as Letters from Cambridge 1939-1944 (Cape, London, 1945) containing letters 1 (8 September 1939) to 64 (10 December 1944).

Post-war decisions.

Folder R.7. Correspondence and papers on future career, possibility of continuing in Government service, decision to return to Cambridge etc. Includes draft of Kendrew's letter of 15 July 1945 to W.L. Bragg outlining his career and research plans, a similar letter of 8 October to C.P. Snow on possible government employment, arrangement for release with effect from 10 January 1946, Kendrew's summary of exact dates of his overseas service and appointments, salary and tax arrangements. Included here is a letter to Kendrew's father, May 1946, from K. Sisam mentioning "your son" as "among a few very promising young men" in Cambridge science.
