Folder N.55. Rosenstiel Retreat on "Inventing the future: innovation in science and communication", Greenwich, Connecticut, 9-11 May 1980. Kendrew spoke on "The first protein structure". Programme, list of participants, correspondence with organiser (C. Cohen) who had difficulty in persuading Kendrew to contribute to a discussion on "innovation" or "creativity" in science. Also included here is earlier (1977) correspondence with Cohen on Kendrew's views on the history of contemporary science and his reluctance to write or talk on his own scientific work.
